Lose Weight and Reduce Chronic Disease with the Bi-Monthly Fruitarian Challenge.

If I told you that you can get into the best shape of your life eating only fruits, would you believe me?  What if I told you that you can lose pounds of unwanted fat, reverse diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis, all from a fruitarian diet, would you still believe me?

What is the Fruitarian Diet?

We’ve all heard about the Paleo diet, South Beach diet, Atkins diet, and the Keto diet, but what is so different about the Fruitarian diet?  To be considered fruitarian, at least 50% – 75% or more of your calories must come from raw fruit, such as bananas, papayas, grapes, etc. Strict fruitarians, however, may eat up to 90% fruits in their diets.

Is the Fruitarian Diet healthy?

Do you think getting the majority of your calories from the fruit is healthy and effective when it comes to weight loss or reversing chronic disease?  The hundreds of men and women who take part in the Fruitarian Challenge believe it is.  The Fruitarian Challenge was created by Orvel Douglas, a former vegan. Orvel created the Fruitarian Challenge about 4 years ago.  The Fruitarian Challenge is a bi-monthly challenge on Facebook, where you can find hundreds of testimonies from people all over the world.

The people who have taken part in his challenges have received amazing results.  The next challenge will take place on July 1st.  According to Orvel, “even if you don’t complete the monthly challenge, you will receive enormous benefits that can change your life.”

What Results Can I Expect to Achieve?

Here are the results Ms. LJ Holton received after 30 days of participating in the challenge. She was determined to reverse the health issues that she was going through. She disciplined herself to eat all 100% high watery fruits without any overt fats:

Current Fasting Glucose: 96
Start Fasting Glucose: 356

Current B/P: 129/88
Start B/P: 180/118
[Without MEDS]

Current Weight: 205
Start Weight: 221 (5’8)

WHY A FRUITARIAN DIET

The motivation for adopting a fruitarian diet differs among most people.  The primary motivators are thought to be health reasons and/or religious, moral, or ethical factors. Like paleo advocates, many fruitarian followers tout the diet as the original diet of mankind. Some fruitarians are motivated by a desire to not kill any living organism, even plants—hence, why they eat only the fruit of a plant.

Recently, the fruitarian diet has seen a surge in popularity along with vegan diets and raw-food diets. Following a vegan diet means eating only plant-based foods. A raw-food diet, on the other hand, is essentially a vegan diet that excludes foods that have been heated, refined, pasteurized, or otherwise treated.
