Why I Said No to Krispy Kreme – by Vince Ferguson

Would you choose Krispy Kreme Doughnuts over your health? Recently, I received a special invitation to team up with Krispy Kreme Donuts to enjoy a simple and sweet fundraiser. The invitation goes on to say “A Krispy Kreme Digital Dozens fundraiser let’s Body Sculpt Of New York run a virtual campaign where your community purchases Original Glazed doughnuts online, to redeem for fresh-made dozens whenever they crave (no expiration), at their nearest Krispy Kreme store! The best part, 50% or more of each sale is donated back to your cause. Learn more & get started below. The program has been a big hit with local fundraising organizations, so if Body Sculpt Of New York is excited to add a doughnut fundraiser to your events calendar, you can schedule your Digital Dozens campaign as soon as today.”

Here I am trying to help families to improve their health through my not-for-profit organization, Body Sculpt of New York and my Six Weeks to Fitness exercise and nutrition programs, yet I’m invited to participate in a fundraiser with a company that’s known to contribute to the obesity epidemic plaguing our families. Did you know that 2 Krispy Kreme glazed donuts consist of approximately 380 calories? It would take over an hour just to burn off those carbs before I burn off any fat. I had to respectfully decline. I appreciate the fundraising opportunity, but I refuse to compromise my organization and Six Weeks to Fitness by promoting unhealthy products just to raise a few dollars. I would consider it blood money. Instead, I want to invite you to participate in my next Six Weeks to Fitness program, where my team of fitness professionals and myself, will take you through 6 weeks of exercise, nutrition, motivation and accountability, and the best part is that this program will be offered free of charge while spots are open. We’ve been conducting 6 weeks to fitness programs in person for over 15 years and virtually since the 2020 pandemic, so we know what it takes to put on a program like this. So, if you are looking to lose weight? Boost your energy levels, flatten your stomach, reduce chronic disease, whether it’s heart disease, high blood pressure, whatever it is, then this program is for you, and did I say that it’s totally free? I can’t guarantee the program after that will be free, but I am offering this one free of charge.

The program will begin sometime in early October, and I will be announcing the start date on my Youtube channel and in my Body Sculpt of New York Six Weeks to Fitness newsletter. If you want to be informed on when the next Six Weeks to Fitness program begins, so you can grab your spot, head over to www.sixweekstofitness.com and sign up for our newsletter. Be sure to share this video and website with family and friends and join the Six Weeks to Fitness community. If you’re having problems with your weight or with your health in general, you are not alone, join our community and let’s get healthier together.
