Giovonni Thompson, a young, ambitious, and motivated entrepreneur, who happens to be the CEO of the Camden Monarchs, the new professional American Basketball Association (ABA) expansion team. She is also the owner of GioGlobal Management and GioGlobal Sports Agency. The agency specializes in sports marketing, public relations, merchandising, and event production. I had the pleasure of interviewing Giovonni on my Six Weeks to Fitness podcast.
Giovonni discusses the future of the team
During the interview, Giovonni shared how the opportunity to own the Camden Monarchs came about. She also laid out her vision for the Camden Monarchs. She also plans to use her platform to inspire and propel young girls to fearlessly go after their dreams. It can be in the entertainment and music field (where Giovonni got her start) or in the sports marketing and management field. It doesn’t matter, as long as you move forward towards your dreams.
Entrepreneurship is in Giovonni’s blood
Giovonni was born in France where her father played in the European basketball league. Giovonni credits her parents for being a major inspiration in her life. Her father is an owner of a Perdue Chicken farm on the east coast. Her mother is a designer, so basketball and entrepreneurship are in her blood, and she shows no signs of slowing down.
Do you want to start your own company, just like Giovanni, and make an impact in your community? Well, I have a couple of helpful resources for you to consider. First, I would strongly recommend invoice templates, a free all-in-one small business invoicing, and accounting solution software. Second, if you’re looking for funding for your small business, then I would recommend looking at Wells Fargo Small Business Loans.
It was indeed a pleasure interviewing Giovonni Thompson. She is focused and determined to succeed in the professional basketball arena. She never looked at her gender as a hindrance to success. After all, she has the perfect role models in her father and mother, both of whom support her 100%.
